About the 30 Day Calculator

Keeping track of deadlines and schedules can be tricky. Whether you are tracking a 30-day trial period, planning a project timeline, or just wondering what date it will be in exactly 90 days, counting days on a calendar manually is slow and prone to error. We built this calculator to solve that problem instantly.

This tool serves two main purposes. First, it acts as a Date Calculator. You can enter a start date and add (or subtract) any number of days, weeks, or months to find a specific future or past date. This is perfect for calculating expiration dates, visa limits (like the 90/180 rule), or shipping estimates. We even included a "Business Days" option, so you can see when a project will finish if you exclude weekends.

Second, it functions as a Time Duration Calculator. If you enter two separate dates, the tool will tell you exactly how much time exists between them. It breaks this down into total days, weeks, months, and even down to the second. This is incredibly useful for calculating age, time served, or the exact duration of an event.

Key Features

  • Add or Subtract Days: Quickly find out "What date is 30 days from today?" or "What was the date 60 days ago?".
  • Business Day Filter: Toggle "Exclude Weekends" to calculate working days only. This is essential for business deadlines where Saturday and Sunday don't count.
  • Detailed Time Breakdown: Whether you are adding days or comparing two dates, see the full duration breakdown in years, months, weeks, hours, minutes, and seconds.
  • Smart Quick Buttons: Use our preset buttons for 30, 60, 90, and 180 days to save time typing common durations.

How to Use

  1. Select Mode: Use the tabs at the top to switch between "Add/Subtract Days" (finding a future date) or "Date Difference" (finding time between two dates).
  2. Enter Dates: Pick your start date from the calendar picker. If calculating a difference, pick an end date too.
  3. Adjust Settings: Choose whether you want to add or subtract time, and enter the number of days.
  4. Business Days: Check the "Exclude Weekends" box if you only want to count Monday through Friday.
  5. Get Results: The tool updates instantly. Look at the right-hand panel for your answer and a detailed breakdown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does "30 days" include weekends?

In a standard calendar calculation, yes, 30 days includes Saturdays and Sundays. However, if you check the "Exclude Weekends" box in our tool, it will skip them, effectively calculating "30 Business Days," which usually spans about 6 weeks of actual time.

Is the start date included in the count?

Typically, date calculators (including this one) start counting from the day after the start date. For example, if you add 1 day to today, the result is tomorrow. If you need the start date to count as "Day 1," you should subtract 1 from your total.

How precise is the time difference?

The tool calculates difference based on calendar days. For the breakdown (hours/minutes/seconds), it assumes a standard 24-hour day. It handles leap years automatically when calculating year-long durations.

Can I calculate dates in the past?

Yes. Simply change the operation dropdown from "Add (+)" to "Subtract (-)" to calculate a date that happened 30, 60, or 90 days ago.

Is my data private?

Yes. This calculator runs 100% in your browser. No dates or personal information are sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
