About Check Marks & Crosses

We built this page because you often need a simple Tick (✔) or Cross (✗) for to-do lists, "Pros and Cons" tables, or social media posts, yet standard keyboards don't include them. Here, you can find every variation—from heavy bold checks to voting ballot boxes—and just click to copy them.

Where can I use these?

These are standard Unicode symbols. That means they work in Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, email subject lines, and on websites like Instagram or Twitter/X. They are not images, so you can paste them anywhere you can paste text.

Common Questions

What is the difference between ✔ and ✅?
The first one (✔) is a text symbol. It changes color to match your text (so you can make it a red check mark if you want). The second one (✅) is an emoji. It usually looks like a green or white button and stays that color regardless of your font settings.

How do I type a check mark on my keyboard?
If you have a number pad on Windows, you can hold Alt and type 251. However, using this page is much faster and works on laptops, Macs, and phones where that shortcut isn't available.
