PDF Splitter
Extract pages from PDF files or burst them into separate documents.
About the PDF Splitter
Working with large PDF documents can be cumbersome. Sometimes you only need a specific chapter from a book, a single invoice from a monthly statement, or you need to separate a merged document back into individual files. The PDF Splitter makes this easy, fast, and secure.
This tool provides a visual interface where you can see every page of your PDF as a thumbnail. You don't have to guess page numbers; simply click the pages you want to keep. It offers two powerful modes:
- Extract Mode: Creates a brand new PDF file containing only the pages you selected, maintaining their original quality and formatting.
- Burst Mode: Splits the entire document into separate files. For example, a 10-page PDF becomes 10 individual PDF files, which are automatically zipped up for easy downloading.
Your privacy is our priority. Unlike other online tools that upload your documents to a server to process them, this tool runs 100% in your web browser. Your sensitive contracts, financial statements, or personal documents never leave your computer.
How to Use the Tool
- Upload: Drag and drop your PDF file into the upload box.
- Visual Selection: The tool will generate thumbnails for every page. Click on the pages you want to select.
- Choose Mode:
- Use Extract Mode to combine your selected pages into one new file.
- Use Burst Mode if you want every page saved as a unique file.
- Download: Click the button to save your new PDF(s).
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I extract just one page?
Yes. In "Extract Mode", simply click on the single page you want to keep. When you click the download button, you will get a PDF containing just that one page.
Does this reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. The tool copies the raw data from the original pages into the new document. Text remains selectable, vector graphics remain sharp, and images retain their original resolution.
Is there a limit on file size?
Because the processing happens on your device, the limit depends on your computer's memory (RAM). Most modern browsers can handle PDFs up to several hundred megabytes without issue.
Is it safe for confidential documents?
Absolutely. We use a technology called WebAssembly (WASM) to manipulate the PDF directly in your browser tab. No data is ever sent over the internet to our servers.
